The centre provides continuous help and support for the network related issues to the students, faculty and the staff; so that their research and academic activities will remain unaffected.

IITK network is an "open" computing environment, reflecting the traditional openness of the academic environment. However, we restrict the access from your machine to the Internet and vice-versa by using Firewalls and also block access to porn sites. Besides this following activities have been taken care off:

• Network configuration and trouble shooting
• Keeping track of the IP addresses
• Configuring DHCP / Static IP in the LAN Computers
• Setting proxy
