Welcome from the Royal Society of Chemistry
On behalf of the Royal Society of Chemistry we are delighted to welcome you to the RSC - IIT Kanpur Symposium in Chemical Science, taking place in Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
The event aims to bring together scientists in a stimulating and friendly environment that will foster collaborations. The symposia comprise talks from respected Indian and international scientists, as well as posters from younger researchers. We thank each of the speakers, poster presenters and participants for their contribution at each of the three venues.
The Royal Society of Chemistry is the world’s leading chemistry community, advancing excellence in the chemical sciences. With over 50,000 members and a knowledge business that spans the globe, we are the UK’s professional body for chemical scientists, supporting and representing our members and bringing together scientists from all over the world.
A not-for-profit organization with a heritage that spans 170 years, we have an ambitious international vision for the future. We partner in many ways to promote collaboration and innovation, and it’s our privilege to work with the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur to bring you this symposium; our thanks to Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur for their hospitality.
We have wide participation from across the Royal Society of Chemistry as part of this event, and you can read more about the individuals involved further on in this programme booklet.
The symposia comprise talks from respected Indian and international scientists, as well as posters from younger researchers. We thank each of the speakers, poster presenters and participants for their contribution at each of the three venues.
In addition to the scientific content, we will be offering a session for younger researchers, focussing on aspects of career development and scientific communication.
It is our pleasure to welcome you today, and we very much hope that you will enjoy the event.
