On 4th of April 2024, A UCSC delegation consisting of Prof. Alexander Wolf, Dean of Baskin School of Engineering; Prof. Roberto Manduchi, Associate Dean for Graduate Experience; Prof. Ian Lane, Director of the Natural Language Processing (NLP) Professional Master’s Program; Prof. Razvan Marinescu, Computer Science and Engineering; Prof. Josh Stuart, Biomolecular Engineering and Mr. Colin Cole, Partnership and Program Manager, Division of Global Engagement met with an IIT Kanpur delegation, where they engaged in fruitful discussions with Prof. Dhirendra S. Katti, Dean of International Relations; Prof. Tarun Gupta, Dean of Research and Development; Prof. Amey Karkare, Head, Department of Computer Science; Prof. Kumar Vaibhav Srivastava, Head, Department of Electrical Engineering; Prof. Priyanka Bagade, Coordinator for UCSC Summer Symposium, Department of Computer Science and Prof. Tushar Sandhan, Coordinator for UCSC Summer Symposium, Department of Electrical Engineering

The meeting centred on fostering collaboration, including plans for faculty exchange (Summer Symposium 2024), student exchange programs, and collaborative research initiatives between UCSC and IIT Kanpur.
