Office of International Relations (OIR) hosted an orientation/welcome party on 27/08/2022 for international students admitted in the 2022-23 Sem I session. Dean of International Relations, Prof. Dhirendra S. Katti welcomed all the students and provided an overview of IIT Kanpur, its academic programs and campus life in general.

Representatives of Academic Council including their General Secretary, 3 Managers & 13 secretaries were present on the occasion. The Academic & Career Council made an elaborate presentation touching all aspects of student life on campus including academics, various student clubs and personal life.

Another initiative started by OIR and Academics & Career council of the Students Gymkhana is to facilitate International student support by enabling one-to-one point of contact for each and every international student on IITK campus.

On this occasion, OIR also bid farewell to Ms. Folake Monsurat Babalola who visited IITK for a research internship at Civil Engineering department.
