On 9th & 10th January, 2024, Professor Dhirendra S. Katti, the Dean of International Relations at IIT Kanpur, recently engaged in fruitful discussions with the leadership of Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA  with the goal of strengthen academic and research ties between the two institutions. In a meeting with Prof. Rogelio Minana, Vice Provost for Global Engagement at Drexel University, they explored opportunities for university-wide partnerships, fostering collaboration on various fronts.

Further, Professor Katti met with a distinguished team from the Drexel University School of Biomedical Engineering, Science, and Health Systems. This included Prof. Paul Brandt-Rauf, Dean; Prof. Andres Kriete, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs; Prof. Kenneth Barbee, Associate Dean for Research; and Profs. Sriram Balasubramanian, Director for India partnership at Drexel Global. The discussions focused on potential research and academic collaborations, reflecting the commitment of both institutions to advancing the IIT Kanpur-Drexel University relationship in the broad area of biomedical engineering.

In addition to these meetings, Professor Katti engaged with Prof. Vibhas Madan, the Dean of the Bennett S. LeBow College of Business at Drexel University, exploring avenues for academic and research collaborations in the business domain. Furthermore, discussions with Prof. Kapil R. Dandekar, Associate Dean for Enrollment Management and Graduate Education, aimed to identify potential areas of synergy for joint endeavors between IIT Kanpur and Drexel University.
