As per the communication received from Deptt. of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India; every year 31st May is celebrated as the "World No Tobacco Day (WNTD)" highlighting the health risk and other issues associated with tobacco use. The theme of "World No Tobacco Day" 2021 is "Commit to Quit".

Accordingly, an online meeting was organized at 11 AM on May 31, 2021 by Registrar, K.K. Tiwari for taking "NO TOBACCO PLEDGE". Employee of the IIT Kanpur took the "NO TOBACCO PLEDGE" at 11 AM in Hindi as well as in English Language.
