Minimum Total Credits - 144

Residential Requirement: 4 Semesters

Core Courses: Three (3) – 27 credits

1. Probability and Statistics (9 credits)
2. Introduction to Computing (9 credits)
3. Operations Research for Management (9 credits)

Elective Courses: Six (6) – 54 credits

Students can take elective courses from DoMS and/or other departments of IIT Kanpur.

Seminar Course: Zero (0) credits

Seminar course should be taken in every semester for which attendance is compulsory.

Industrial Project: Zero (0) credits

During the summer break, i.e., after the end of second semester an industrial project should be taken up. This is a mandatory requirement.
