Applicants must possess a B.Tech. degree with a minimum CPI of 5.5/10 or 55% marks. Please refer to the PG manual posted on the main site.
DoMS accepts GATE scores from any stream for admission to the M.Tech. program. GATE scores are valid for 3 years (those who took GATE in 2022, 2023, and 2024 are eligible to apply).
The GATE score requirement is waived for B.Tech. graduates from IITs with a minimum overall CPI of 6.5 and a minimum CPI of 8.0 in the last two years of the B.Tech. program.
All shortlisted candidates must appear for a written test and interview for their application to be considered further.
The written test and interview are scheduled on 28 April 2024 (Sunday) at the IIT Kanpur campus. Written exam will be based on quantitative (basic Mathematics up to class 12), aptitude, logical reasoning and basic English language skills.
