Types of measurements and parameters Temperature range of measurement: 4-300 K and 300-700 K (needs oven insert) Range of magnetic field: up to 6.5 Tesla Types of measurements: DC- measurement (M-T, M-H) AC measurement (χ’ and χ’’), Frequency range: (0-3000 Hz)

Sample Preparation Instructions

Samples should be vacuum compatible, non-explosive and non-radioactive.

Following are approximate sample requirements:

1. Thin films: 3mm × 2mm
2. Bulk or pellet form: 2 – 20mg (~ 3mm × 2mm)
3. Powders: 2-20mg (depending on the nature), For example, for DC- measurements on ferromagnetic samples, one requires only 1-3 mg of the powder
