Sensitive Position Finder
|
It is a ranking based system that detects the most sensitive position around the machine for positioning a sensor. Here sensitive Position refers to the positions on the object which are expected to exhibit appropriate fault characteristics in a much better way as compared to other sensor positions. To find sensitive positions of the machine is an important aspect of Condition Based Monitoring because analyzing data from too many positions on the machine is economically not viable and manually cumbersome. Also the reliability of the process is sacrificed when recordings are taken from too many positions. So, sensitive positions make the process of Condition Based Monitoring convenient in terms of data acquisition. A variety of applications that involve data acquisition from various sensors. For example: in hospitals while treatment, patients are monitored by collecting data from their bodies, e.g. EEG, ECG signals etc.
