Applications are invited for temporary & contractual post of Project Technician under the project entitled “Centre of Excellence for Large Area of Flexible Electronics at IIT Kanpur” at SCDT, IIT Kanpur.
Minimum Qualification: B.Sc + 4 years of relevant experience Or 3 years Engg. Diploma + 4 years of relevant experience Or High School+ ITI+ 9 years of relevant experience.
Experience Required:
- Experience in designing 3D models (CAD), proficient in operating and maintaining various 3D printers, and adept at selecting suitable filaments for product enclosure design and various parts to meet diverse project requirements.
- Competency in operating Laser Cutting machine, Screen Printing, and Patterning of ITO Substrate.
- Hands-on experience in soldering and de-soldering SMT components like BGA, QFN, TQFP, with proficiency in SMD reworking station.
- Proficiency in understanding Circuit Schematics, PCB repairing, product enclosure design, troubleshooting, basic PCB Design (single layer, double layer), and Stencil design.
- Ability to wire breadboards for temporary prototypes with electronic components, soldering on Zero PCB, Veroboard, etching copper clad for simple routing, and breakout board for SMT and through-hole components.
- Familiarity with the maintenance of various measuring and processing equipment.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Reading Blueprints, Writing Diagrams, Schematics Drawing, assembling electronic units following manual instructions and datasheets, replacing defective electronic components, and troubleshooting improper functioning of instruments.
- Experience in CAD (Google SketchUp ,Fusion 360 etc).
Salary: Rs. 18000-1500-45000/- (per month based on qualification)
Term of Appointment: The appointment will be purely on temporary and contractual basis initially for a period of three years or end of the project, whichever is earlier.
