Applications are invited for temporary & contractual post of Project Technician under the project entitled “Centre of Excellence for Large Area of Flexible Electronics at IIT Kanpur” at SCDT, IIT Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification: B.Sc + 4 years of relevant experience Or 3 years Engg. Diploma + 4 years of relevant experience Or High School+ ITI+ 9 years of relevant experience.

Job Profile:

  • Basic Circuit Schematics Design: Utilize your expertise in designing circuit schematics tailored to printed electronics using SVG editors.
  • Screen Printing: Showcase your proficiency in screen printing for printed electronics.
  • Graphic Design: Demonstrate your skills in design using vector graphic editors like CorelDRAW, Inkscape, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator for flyer, pamphlet, and poster design.
  • Electronic Assembly: Engage in basic electronic assembly and maintenance of various measuring and process instruments.
  • Component Inventory Management: Manage component inventory effectively to ensure seamless project operations.
  • CO2 Laser Cutting: Operate and maintain CO2 laser cutting machines for precision cutting with designed DXF files. Knowledge of different file extensions, conversion methods, and limitations is preferred.
  • PCB Etching: Utilize your skills in etching copper clad for simple routing and breakout boards in a laboratory environment.
  • Conventional Printing Knowledge: Possess basic knowledge of processes like HTV and DTF printing.
  • Office Suites: Demonstrate proficiency in office suites for effective documentation

Salary: Rs. 18000-1500-45000/- (per month based on qualification)

Term of Appointment: The appointment will be purely on temporary and contractual basis initially for a period of three years or end of the project, whichever is earlier.
