Applications are invited by the security section, IIT Kanpur for engagement of ‘Duty In-Charge (Security)’ on project for a period of one year or till the end of project whichever is earlier.

  1. Name of the Post: Duty In-Charge (Security) on Project
  2. Age Limit: The maximum age limit for project employment is 60 years.
  3. No. of Post: Three (03)
  4. Salary Range: 30000-2500-75000
  5. Minimum Qualification and Post Qualification Experience:

Essential:

    (i) Post Graduate degree with minimum of 05 years of relevant experience in Defence/ Police Services / Paramilitary / Armed Forces or in Security Agencies.

    Or

    Graduate degree with minimum of 10 years of relevant experience Defence/ Police Services / Paramilitary / Armed Forces or in Security Agencies.

    (ii) The candidate should be medically sound.

Desirable:

Applicants should be conversant with security rules/procedures and should possess a valid driving license for light motor vehicle and motorcycle. Certificate of NCC and Firefighting training and experience of working in residential institutional campus, electronic surveillance, computer system for information processing and retrieval.

Note: This post is not suitable for PwD candidates.

  1. Job Responsibilities:

The Duty In-Charge (Security) will be expected to see the security arrangements in the campus, during their duty hours. To work in shift duties including night duty, responding to emergency call, responsible for regular security works as well as emergency situations, any other works assigned by Security Officer.

  1. The post is purely temporary and on contractual basis.
  2. The position is initially for one year or till the end of the project, whichever is earlier.
  3. The institute reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for short-listing of eligible candidates satisfying qualification and experience.
  4. Only short-listed applicants will be called for interview through e-mail.
  5. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
  6. Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualification and work experience will not be called for the interview.
