Applications are invited for one post of Project Associate at the Center for Nanosciences, IIT Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification: B.Tech (Electrical/ Electronics/ Chemical Engineering) or Masters in Physics or Chemistry

Desired Qualification: Candidates with previous proven experience in microprocessor programming, circuit building and troubleshooting will be preferred. Experience in thermal/ebeam/sputtering or electrodeposition is desirable. Exposure to working in clean rooms and some exposure to operating principles of lab equipment like spin coating and electrospinning is desirable.

Nature of work: Candidate would be primarily responsible for operation and maintenance of vacuum thin film deposition equipment like sputtering/thermal etc. and electrodeposition/ electrochemistry and repair some of the lab equipment such as electrospinning, spin coater, vacuum pumps, hotplate, clean room accessories, clean benches etc. Candidate is also expected to operate equipment, perform experiments and analysis of the data.

Salary Range: Rs. 18000-1500-45000.

Duration of appointment: The post is purely temporary in nature and is for the duration of one year initially which may be extended for one more year based on performance.
