Application is invited for the post of ‘Project Executive Officer’ in Department of Advance Imaging Centre, IIT Kanpur. The Post is temporary and on a contractual basis for a period of ONE year. The period may be extended based on performance and requirement from time to time.

Essential Post Qualification Experience: PHD/Master’s degree + Significant experience and expertise in the relevant area

Desirable Qualification:

1. M. Tech. with strong knowledge of operating HRTEM (Transmission Electron Microscope) and SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope).
2. The candidate should also have a knowledge of maintenance of analytical equipment and should have at least 4-5 years’ experience in the relevant field.
3. The candidate should have a strong background in dealing with technological problems and an understanding of promising approaches to their solutions. He should have experience of sample preparation equipment like Ultra Microtome, Vitrobot, and TEM Mill etc., Experience in handling Cryo fluids and cryo sample preparation for TEM would be highly preferred.

Scale of pay: Rs. 42000-3500-105000

Duration of appointment: The post is purely temporary in nature and is for the duration of ONE year initially, which may be extended for another year or more years based on performance.

The institute reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for short listing of eligible candidates satisfying qualification and experience. Only shortlisted candidates will be called accordingly for interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the test/interview.
