MATLAB Workshop

The AME successfully organized a two-day MathWorks Workshop on September 30 and October 1, 2024, at Lecture Hall 18, offering hands-on training in MATLAB and Simulink. The workshop addressed fundamental concepts, including the basics of MATLAB, symbolic mathematics, and solution techniques for ordinary differential equations (ODEs) through examples such as projectile motion and mass-spring-damper systems. Participants also learned about Simulink's ODE solutions, partial differential equations (PDEs), and applications like the one-dimensional heat equation. The event attracted a diverse group of students and professionals.

On the second day, which took place in Lecture Hall 7, the focus shifted to advanced topics, including the applications of artificial intelligence within MATLAB and an introduction to Simscape. The workshop concluded with a presentation highlighting MathWorks’ resources for ongoing learning, followed by an engaging Q&A session. Led by Mr. Rohit Bhattacharya from MathWorks, the sessions were highly interactive, encouraging participants to actively engage in problem-solving and applying theoretical concepts in real-time. Attendees expressed gratitude for the workshop's practical approach and the depth of knowledge shared.
